CNN's Larry King's Son Does Spot-On Impression on Farewell Show (Video)

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld answers a... Growing up in a big family, one of the things we enjoyed doing most in our house was impressions. We'd imitate other family members, TV stars, neighbors and anybody else that we thought took themselves a little bit too seriously. It's reassuring to know that other families do the same thing.

Last night Larry King, "The King of Late Night", said farewell to his CNN show, "Larry King Live". There was a star-studded line up of guests, including Bill Maher, Donald Trump and Bill Clinton on hand to pay tribute to King's 25-year reign as the premier interviewer of our time.

At the end of the show King was joined by his latest wife, Shawn (who really knows how many wives there have been) and their two sons, 11-year-old Chance and 10-year-old Cannon, who reflected on what Larry's retirement means to them. It was Cannon who stole the show with his dead-on impression of his octogenarian dad:

Now Al and Tipper Gore's Split Makes Sense

Last month former Vice President and Defender of the Planet, Al Gore and his wife tipper announced that they were calling it quits after 40 years together. The announcement left political observers scratching their heads as the Gares always seemed to be the perfect couple. When I first heard the story, I couldn't wait for the other shoe to drop. There's always another shoe in a story like this and leave it to the National Enquirer, the tabloid that brought you John Edwards' baby-momma, to make sure it hits the floor with a thud heard 'round the world.

The National Enquirer reported last week that Vice President Ozone has been accused of sexually assaulting a masseuse back in 2006. Portand, OR police have reopened the case in light of the publicity:
In a bombshell new police report vindicating The ENQUIRER's world exclusive of the AL GORE SEX SCANDAL, the alleged victim told Portland police intimate in-depth details of her claimed sexual encounter with the ex-Vice President.

In a comprehensive 73 page investigative report conducted by Portland Police Bureau in 2009 into an unnamed massage therapist's allegations that Gore made inappropriate and unwanted sexual contact at a hotel in October, 2006.

In a witness statement, the 54-year-old alleged victim - whose name is being withheld by The ENQUIRER - told detectives the Oscar-winning Nobel laureate  attempted a "big tongue kiss," "caressed" her "back and buttocks and breasts" and "shoved" her hand down to his pubic region.

Gore, who recently split from wife Tipper after 40 years of marriage, also fed the woman chocolate and attempted to coerce her to come into his bedroom to listen to a song by Pink, the document said.
Along with the allegations of inappropriate behavior with a woman who gets paid to touch the naked bodies of strange men, are reports that the mainstream media deliberately ignored the story for years. Now, as if to wash their sins clean, the MSM has latched onto the story like a hungry pit bull.

Politico is reporting that the Portland Tribune is taking a lot of heat for killing the story after spending much of 2007 and 2008 investigating the allegations.

Rumors have circulated for years of Gore's infidelities and the announcement of the Gores' split has opened the flood gates. Al Gore has always said that Bill Clinton was his mentor. It looks like Al paid close attention and is now facing his own inconvenient truth. Gotta love those breeders.

Clinton (Bill, not Hilary) Rescues Journalists Held by North Korea

How bad did it suck to be Hilary Clinton yesterday? After spending the better part of the last decade trying to distinguish herself from her ex-president husband, getting elected to the senate and launching an historic presidential campaign, it was Bill who swooped in to save the day.

On march 17, Current TV journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling inadvertently crossed the border from China into North Korea while working on a story. They were confronted by a North Korean border patrol, taken into custody, tried and convicted of spying. They faced twelve years of hard labor in a prison camp.

Months of official negotiations were fruitless. Tensions between the North Koreans and the US have been tense over the last several years because of Kim Jong Il's nuclear ambitions. It didn't help that Hilary characterized the North Korean government as "small children and unruly teenagers and people who are demanding attention."

On the surface, you might think that Current TV co-founder, Al Gore or Hilary herself had asked Bill to step in. Not so. According to reports, it was the North Korean government that said it would only release the two American women if Bill Clinton came to get them.

As The Daily Show's John Stewart said last night, "The big dog is back!"

Too Little, Too Late: Bill Clinton Now Backs Gay Marriage

(From TheNation.com)
"Former President Bill Clinton has come out in support of same-sex marriage. After speaking at the Campus Progress National Conference in Washington, DC, on July 8, the former president was asked if he supported same-sex marriage. Clinton, in a departure from past statements, replied in the affirmative.

Clinton opposed same-sex marriage during his presidency, and in 1996, he signed the Defense of Marriage Act, which limited federal recognition of marriage to one man and one woman. In May of this year, Clinton told a crowd at Toronto's Convention Centre that his position on same-sex marriage was 'evolving.'

Apparently, Clinton's thinking has now further evolved. Asked if he would commit his support for same-sex marriage, Clinton responded, 'I'm basically in support.'

This spring, same-sex marriage was legalized in Iowa, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire. In his most recent remarks on the subject, Clinton said, 'I think all these states that do it should do it.' The former president, however, added that he does not believe that same-sex marriage is "a federal question.'

Asked if he personally supported same-sex marriage, Clinton replied, 'Yeah.' 'I personally support people doing what they want to do,' Clinton said. 'I think it's wrong for someone to stop someone else from doing that [same-sex marriage].'

The former president joins a string of prominent Democrats who have recently switched their position on the issue, including former Democratic National Committee chair Howard Dean, New York Senator Charles E. Schumer, New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine and Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd.

'Bill Clinton joins other important public figures in stepping solidly into the twenty-first century in support of same-sex marriage equality,' said the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's executive director Rea Carey. We certainly hope other elected officials, including President Obama, join him in clearly stating their support for equality in this country. Same-sex couples should not have to experience second-class citizenship.'

Clinton's reversal is the highest-profile one to date. It may also have political implications for the future of the Defense of Marriage Act. President Obama has pledged to repeal the law, but in June, the Justice Department filed a brief in federal court defending the law's constitutionality.

A recent Gallup poll found that a majority of Democrats favor same-sex marriage."
